Q2 2019 there were 4.97 million self-employed
people in the UK, according to the latest figures
published by the Office for National Statistics.
The figures reveal that the number of self-employed
increased by 0.3% in Q2 of 2019 when compared

increase in the number of self-employed women.

verification system will come into force for
all online retail sales. Under the system an
online transaction must be verified using a
