By way of explanation. The term 'home business' consists of two words. 'Business' is the second one; it's there to qualify and support the word 'home' and all that goes with it - and not vice versa. Consequently, we also list below, items which are of interest and value to the home. Whether in its context as an office or as a part of your family and lifestyle but always directed at the improved prospects and enjoyment that running a business from home, in its entirety, can bring.

For a current, multi-part overview of starting and running a business from home, go here: http://www.homebusiness.org.uk/features.htm

Armed police to patrol French beaches amid terrorism fears. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jun/29/armed-police-patrol-french-beaches-crs-resorts-bullet-proof French police have been armed for as long as I can remember. As for large numbers of armed 'fonctionnaires' - for that is all French police are - plus the military, engaged in high-visibility patrolling of public places, then that also has been going on for a number of years. Which has caused the police a great deal of stress - according to them - taken them away from policing duties elsewhere (such as dealing with Little Ingerlandt football thugs) and clearly made no difference whatsoever to the country's vulnerability to terrorist attacks. What I would suggest is that holidaymakers heading for French beaches should consider visiting Britain instead.

29.06.2016: Richard Branson warns that Brexit has turned British business into a 'blood bath'. http://www.mirror.co.uk/tech/richard-branson-warns-brexit-turned-8304175 I think that accolade should be awarded to Little Ingerlandt's hate-preaching, criminal media and their nodding-dog politicians. They've been practising since Margaret Thatcher came to power and developed that 'special relationship' with the American murder industry, its banks and Big Corp. An era out of which Mr Branson himself, didn't do too badly.

28.06.2016: Business organisations react to EU Referendum result. Business organisations have been reacting to the result of the EU Referendum and are calling on the Government for clarification to ensure stability.

Mike Cherry, National Chairman at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) said: "The FSB calls on the Government for clarity on what these decisions now mean for business, including how businesses will have access to the single market and the free movement of people and trade. Nearly a quarter of FSB members export, with the majority exporting to the single market. Access to the single market means access to 500 million potential consumers, more than 26 million businesses and is worth €11 trillion. We call on the Government for clarity on the impact to smaller firms who export wider afield through EU FTA agreements."

James Lowman, Chief Executive of the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) said: "There are many European regulations that affect convenience store retailers, from rules on waste and energy efficiency to the incoming tobacco products directive. We will be making local shops' case for the right regulatory framework once we leave the EU, maintaining the laws that work and are fair, and reviewing those where changes to regulations could promote investment and growth for our members."

The Local Government Association (LGA) has commented: "Communities in England have been allocated £5.3 billion of EU regeneration funding up to 2020. It is important for the Government to guarantee it will protect this vital funding to avoid essential growth-boosting projects stalling and local economies across England being stifled."

Brexit will cause UK food prices to rise, farmers warn. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/brexit-eu-referendum-food-prices-rise-economy-what-will-happen-farming-a7104366.html Not if Little Ingerlandt were to pull out of sanctions against Russia, it wouldn't. But then, Brexit doesn't mean an end to Little Ingerlandt's colonial responsibilities to US Big Corp. (As above.)

We thought the best thing about Brexit would be avoiding TTIP - but the fight isn't over yet. http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/brexit-ttip-what-next-europe-canada-trade-a7104356.html Unless the post-Brexit scene involves the total clear-out of all the country's political fags and war criminals - as is currently taking place in the Labour Party - then all that will happen with TTIP is that Little Ingerlandt's newest regime will simply re-negotiate the treaty separately from Europe. And not for the benefit of consumers or the small business community, in case that isn't obvious.

19.06.2016: What would British business be like after Brexit? https://www.theguardian.com/business/2016/jun/18/british-business-after-brexit

French economy minister: Brexit would turn UK into tiny trading outpost. http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/jun/18/emmemmanuel-macron-french-economy-minister-brexit-eu-referendum-guernseyfication Well, it is already. Of the USA. Even Little Ingerlandt terrorists pretending to be of the British faith, are US-affiliated. Whereas the vast majority of Little Ingerlandt's war criminal politicians come out of American or Israeli terrorists' arseholes, which is why they are now pretending to share the same risks as their recently murdered colleague, Jo Cox, to try and smell of shit 'n roses for once. Yet in truth, her ideology was diametrically opposed to most of the fagging filth at Westminster - which is why she never appeared in the country's hate-preaching propaganda, for example.

Mind you, France is no better. It is just a tiny trading outpost of the trade unions and 5 million useless, idle fonctionnaires. When they feel like doing a bit of 'trading' once or twice a year in between manifs, blockades, attacks on innocent bystanders and setting lorryloads of goods alight - with the police looking on and providing them with protection. In fact, one is inclined to ask if the role of a French 'economy' minister is even justified?

Secondly, although using local websites at your destination is a good idea they are usually in a foreign language and as everyone knows, most Brits can't even speak English! Guidance for retailers about new polymer banknotes. The Bank of England has published training materials to help retailers identify the new security features on the £5 polymer banknote, ahead of it entering circulation on 13 September 2016. Business owners and staff are advised to familiarise themselves with the multiple security features within the new banknotes. When handling the new notes, retailers should check: the see-through window, the foil patch that changes from 'Five' to 'Pounds', the ultra-violet feature, the coronation crown, which should appear 3D, and Big Ben, which should be gold on the front and silver on the back. Retailers will also need to ensure any machines that handle cash are updated before the new notes enter circulation. (EnterpriseQuest)

14.06.2016: Increase in start ups as response to unemployment. http://www.axa.co.uk/Newsroom/Media-Releases/2016/From-the-ashes-of-adversity-emerges-a-new-UK-business-sector Almost a third (30%) of firms founded in the last five years were set up in response to redundancy or long-term unemployment, according to a survey by AXA. Disability, age and caring duties were also increasingly cited as reasons for becoming self-employed.

The survey found that 17% of new firms were founded by parents in response to rising childcare costs, a quarter of new start ups were by people aged 55 to 65, while 7% were set up by people of state pension age. The number of people turning a hobby into a business has doubled between 2012 and 2016 to account for 30% of new firms. A further 39% of business owners said their business is based on an original idea and 3% have invented something new. Over eight in ten (83%) business owners surveyed describe their business as a success. (EnterpriseQuest)

This survey actually came out way back in March - so I don't know where it's been languishing since that time; plus, the statistical sample was just 808 business owners, so perhaps we shouldn't be getting too excited by any of the conclusions which have been drawn (although they do make for interesting reading.)

Nonetheless, a statistical sample of 808 is about 4 times greater than the regime's 'gurus' and brownshirts generally use.

More than a third (36%) of respondents said they had used a payday loans company to cover a shortfall, while 37% had borrowed from a family member. The research also found that only 19% of freelancers are always paid on time and 52% of respondents believe the issue of late payment is getting worse. (EnterpriseQuest)

If only half of freelancers are having worries over late payment, then that's not bad. Seriously.

French prosecutor says Russian hooligans were 'trained to fight'. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jun/13/marseille-prosecutor-russian-trained-hooligans-england-euro-2016 Another incompetent French prosecutor clutching at straws - as the local police, who are supposed to be 'trained' to contain violence and protect the locals - didn't manage to arrest a single Russian.

So why weren't any Russians arrested? It could be because all the 'Russian' hooligans were allegedly masked - so they could have been English, French or just regular casseurs who have become a normal part of the country's social scenery since the present regime was returned to power.

Or, the police still had the hump after their strike a couple of weeks ago, complaining they weren't loved enough by the public.

Or, the police were too busy running errands as usual, for local crimelords.

Or, the police were concentrating their efforts elsewhere to protect French thugs and hooligans, known as strikers. This would explain why as many as 150, hardly inconspicuous, alleged Russian hooligans, were able to stroll down to the local train station and get on a striking train to vanish into thin air.

In the meantime, having imposed enough suffering on small, local businesses and innocent bystanders already with a leadership performance as abjectly pathetic as only the French can achieve, an alcohol ban has now been imposed. As if hooligans can't bring along their own booze. But it will reduce still more what few benefits were to be had from the Euros - except for the bent, corrupt, cheating world of professional football itself.

So how many more weeks is this chaotic changing of the nappies going to last? And will it spill over into that traditional moneyspinning French fete - the Tour de France? No other sport, not by a country mile, comes close to the regular damage and cost inflicted by football and it is high time that the tab - all of it - was picked up by the sport itself and not just by ratepayers and small businesses. FIFA and even local clubs need to be sent a bill on a regular basis; football needs to be kicked out as an Olympic sport; whereas France needs another dose of that good old British invention - the guillotine.

IR35 reforms may cause contractors to "shun the public sector". http://www.contractoruk.com/news/0012552contractor_sector_attacks_ir35_proposals.html Proposed new IR35 rules for personal service companies (PSCs) in the public sector have been severely criticised by contracting experts as unfair and exploitative. If implemented, the proposals would shift responsibility for determining whether IR35 rules apply to a contract from PSCs to the organisations that pay them. The wording of two questions that HMRC wants public sector organisations to use when assessing a contract makes it almost certain that IR35 rules will apply, according to Qdos, a firm providing services to contractors.

Julia Kermode, chief executive of the Freelancer and Contractor Services Association, called the changes "unfair, unethical and fundamentally wrong," explaining that they may lead to individuals having to pay tax as employees without having the corresponding employment rights. IPSE, the Association of Independent Professionals and the Self-Employed, is also warning that if the proposals are introduced, freelance contractors "will simply shun the public sector".

03.06.2016: Jeremy Corbyn promises to scrap TTIP. http://www.aol.co.uk/news/2016/06/02/jeremy-corbyn-promises-to-scrap-ttip-and-lays-into-george-osborne/ So the man's not a fag to US Big Corp. Which of course, is why he - and Muslims - were subjected to a sustained hate campaign by the regime's Semitic propaganda (and which has always fancied itself as Little Ingerlandt's king-makers) in the run-up to the recent local and London mayoral elections. With the net result that the minority, neo-Nazi Tory regime lost more seats than Mr Corbyn's party; and London elected a Muslim mayor!

If Mr Corbyn can deliver on his promise to scrap TTIP, then Little Ingerlandt's consumers and 95% of its business community look as if they might be on course to becoming Great Britain - or even a United Kingdom - again! (Especially if he goes on to round up all the country's war criminals as well.)
