By
way of explanation. The
term 'home business' consists of two words.
'Business' is the second one; it's there to
qualify and support the word 'home' and all
that goes with it - and not vice versa. Consequently,
we also list below, items which are of interest
and value to the home. Whether in its context
as an office or as a part of your family and
lifestyle but always
directed at the improved prospects and enjoyment
that running a business from home, in its entirety,
can bring.

starting and running a

BT have been ordered to cut at least £5
a month off the £18.99 a month it charges
customers who only buy a land line from them.
The
cut, ordered by telephone watchdog Ofcom, will
affect more than 2 million BT customers, who
will see their bills drop by at least £60
a year. Ofcom say that many of these are elderly
or vulnerable people who have remained loyal
to BT for decades.
BT's
mobile phone company, EE, have also been censured
by Ofcom and fined £2.7 million for charging
customers £1.20 a minute for calls that
should have cost 19 pence. In 2015 EE were fined
£1 million for the way it mishandled complaints.
BT
are also facing an accounting scandal in its
Italian arm, which it says will cost it £530
million, and calls for its internet arm Openreach
to be split away from the main business. The
company was recently given the Money Mail Wooden

Consultation
on tackling online VAT fraud. https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/vat-tackling-fraud-on-goods-sold-online-update-on-split-payment
HMRC is seeking views about how to tackle non-compliance
with VAT rules in relation to online sales made
by overseas sellers to buyers in the UK. There
has been an increase in overseas sellers using
online marketplaces who store their goods in
the UK, and are therefore required to register
for VAT in the UK. However, many do not register
for VAT, or if they do they often collect the
wrong amount, which also gives them an unfair
competitive advantage over UK retailers. HMRC
has estimated that as much as £1.5 billion
in VAT was lost to the Treasury in 2015/16 as
a result of overseas sellers supplying goods
to UK consumers via online marketplaces. (EnterpriseQuest)

New
'reasonable care' clause for IR35. http://www.contractoruk.com/news/0012948reasonable_care_clause_put_new_ir35_legislation.html
HMRC has updated the Finance Bill and introduced
a 'reasonable care' clause for IR35. From 6
April 2017, all public sector bodies must take
reasonable care when deciding whether a worker
on a specific engagement should be classed as
employed or self-employed for tax purposes.
If they do not take reasonable care, the public
sector body will become the 'fee-payer' and
responsible for deducting PAYE and National
Insurance contributions from a contractor's
wages, as well as paying employer National Insurance.
Tax experts have warned that a public sector
body is likely to be classed as failing to take
reasonable care if they blanket assess all of
their contractors as falling either inside or
outside the scope of IR35. (EnterpriseQuest)
DIRTY
MONEY AND GOOGLE. http://ezinematters.com/
Google's stupidity in accepting extremist content
on YouTube and placing ads alongside it has
resulted in more than 250 concerned advertisers
withdrawing their support, including Audi, the
BBC, BT, Coca-Cola, the Co-op, Dominos, HSBC,
Lloyds, Marks and Spencer, McDonalds, Mercedes
Benz, L'Oreal, O2, RBS and Waitrose.
A
commission of £6.15 for every 1,000 views
is paid by Google from the advertising revenue
to the suppliers of the content. This means
that the firms advertising have been unintentionally
funding neo-Nazi organisations and terrorist
groups. According to marketing experts these
groups have made £250,000 from Google's
advertisers.
The
Solicitor General has warned that Google could
face prosecution under the Terrorism Act.
Mark
Brittin, Google's impressive European boss told
delegates at a recent advertising conference
that the money his employer makes from the arrangement
with dangerous extremists is "pennies,
not pounds" so that's all right then.

At long last - a proper expert on cyber security
finally receives an airing in the media. As
opposed to the recent flood of alarmist bullshit
propaganda from official security gobshites
who couldn't manage a fire escape.
This
same observation has already been made many
times in recent years but especially in countries
like France, where there is an established point
of view that designer-terrorism is being officially
organised in order to justify a prolonged state
of emergency and to distract and manipulate
public opinion away from the car crash of a
socio-fascist regime led by the born-again Zionist
crusader, Prince Francois 'Shagger' Hollande.
And
of course, fighting terrorism isn't the object
of the exercise. But - the anti-global warming,
anti-pollution and anti-war lobbies are; any
demonstrators kicking up against clandestine
political machinations and evil Big Corp; bolshy
students; even anti-hunt or anti-vivisection
protesters. And above all, we fear, the small,
independent (genuine) self-employed and small
business middle classes which have already seen
a huge erosion in their values, standards and
even human rights, especially in the USA, in
just twenty years. Or, since the internet came

America) is 25%. As opposed to just 13% of the
UK's population being immigrants. And just 3%

And of course, neither GCHQ, nor MI5 nor

Pension tax relief at risk after NICs U-turn.
http://www.pensionsage.com/pa/Pensions-tax-relief-at-risk-due-to-backtrack-on-self-employed-NICs-increase.php
The Chancellor's decision to scrap planned increases
to Class 4 National Insurance contributions
for the self-employed could result in pension
tax relief being targeted to make up the shortfall.
Jon Greer, pension expert at Old Wealth Mutual,
said: "The self-employed are currently
excluded from the private pension system unless
they make their own arrangements. The Government
has already said they are looking to address
this imbalance and ensure the self-employed
enjoy a comparable opportunity to save for their
retirement. However, this U-turn suggests a
'pseudo auto-enrolment' for the self-employed
funded through National Insurance contributions
would be unpalatable so the Government may need
to explore other avenues." (EnterpriseQuest)

http://www.contractoruk.com/news/0012938dividend_changes_net_hammond_2_7_billion.html
The reduction to the tax-free dividend allowance
announced in the Chancellor's 2017 Spring Budget
will raise £2.7 billion for the Treasury
by 2022, according to tax experts. The allowance
will decrease from £5,000 to £2,000
from April 2018 and will result in around 1.4
million taxpayers losing £200 per year
in tax relief. Those able to control the timing
of dividend payments, such as shareholder directors
and people with significant control of companies,
are advised to ensure that any remaining tax-free
allowance for 2016/17 is fully utilised before

'60% of self-employed will benefit from NI changes
mooted by Chancellor'. http://www.aol.co.uk/news/2017/03/14/60-of-self-employed-will-benefit-from-ni-changes-mooted-by-cha/
The self-employed have heard it all before;
starting with a New Nirvana called 'the internet';
most recently, with all the lies leading up
to Brexit. And now, some supposed pension benefits
which are going to resist the predatory advances
of the Treasury in 30 years' time?
Increase
in Class 4 NICs offset by state pension changes.
The cost of changes to National Insurance contributions
(NICs) for the self-employed included in the
2017 Spring Budget would, for a 'lifetime' self-employed
person, be more than offset by last year's change
to the State Earnings-Related Pension Scheme
(SERPS). This is according to calculations published
by Royal London.
Class
4 NICs for the self-employed are to increase
from 9% to 10% from April 2018, and to 11% from
April 2019. Royal London calculates that this
will cost a self-employed person £7,720
over their working lifetime. In April 2016,
the SERPS was extended to self-employed people
who have paid NICs for at least 35 years, meaning
they will become eligible for the full state
pension. Royal London calculates that this is
worth an additional £37,800 in pension
payments for the lifetime self-employed, who
were previously only entitled to the basic state
pension.
Since
the changes to NICs were announced by the Chancellor,
the Prime Minister has promised to delay the
vote on their introduction until autumn 2017.

New
IR35 status tool criticised. HMRC's new
employment status tool is deeply flawed and
unreliable, according to the Association of
Recruitment Consultancies (ARC). The tool was
developed to help determine whether a worker
on a specific engagement should be classed as
employed or self-employed for tax purposes.
In a letter to HMRC, the ARC claims the results
provided by the tool do not provide an accurate
indication of a contractor's IR35 status. HMRC
has rejected the claims and a spokesperson said:
"The tool is working correctly and has
been extensively tested. We welcome feedback
from users." (EnterpriseQuest)

Business
support bodies' reaction to Spring Budget.
Following the Chancellor's Spring Budget on
8 March 2017, the Federation of Small Businesses
(FSB) has claimed it was a Budget that provided
much-needed business rates relief for small
business owners worst affected by the revaluation
of commercial property.
FSB
National Chairman Mike Cherry said: "The
£435 million of new money is a direct
and much-needed response to those facing astronomical
hikes in their business rates. This immediate
relief is vital in the short-term, and action
on more frequent valuations will also help."
However,
the FSB has also warned that higher taxes for
the self-employed will drive up business costs
and discourage people from starting their own
business.
Commenting
on the announcement to increase Class 4 National
Insurance contributions for the self-employed,
IPSE (the Association of Independent Professionals
and the Self-Employed) has stated: "Although
the government is working to increase support
for the self-employed, by broadening access
to the state pension and looking into parental
leave provisions, this policy misses one key
area where the self-employed and employees are
innately different - risk."
The
British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) has welcomed
the Chancellor's decision to delay the introduction
of Making Tax Digital for firms below the VAT
threshold. Suren Thiru, Head of Economics at
the BCC, said: "The temporary deferral
of Making Tax Digital for firms below the VAT
threshold is a welcome step. However, while
this will help to ease some of the administrative
burden for our smallest businesses, there continue
to be serious reservations about HMRC's ability
to deliver such a major undertaking."

National Insurance rise announced in Budget
will restore fairness, says minister. http://www.aol.co.uk/news/2017/03/08/national-insurance-rise-announced-in-budget-will-restore-fairnes/
'Fairness' has got nothing to do with it;
a regime which is desperate to raise revenue
after decades of squandering the taxpayers'
money on financing terrorism and crimes against
humanity, bailing out the banks and handing
Big Corp huge tax breaks, is much closer to
the mark.
Furthermore,
the concerted media outcry surrounding the very
small hike in NI contributions, is just a smoke
screen for a far wider-ranging series of tax
rises which will net the Treasury much more
from elsewhere. The tax-free dividend allowance
(below) is just one example; the increase in
business rates is another; and court fees; the
solar industry (also below) employs many, many
small businesses; even the extra 20% on using
your mobile abroad is far more hostile to the
small business touting for trade than some legless
moron in front of the Eiffel Tower sticking
out a tongue for a selfie and e-mailing it home.
But
what really hurts is the regime's increased
leaning towards grave-robbing; of viciously
taxing again anyone who has died and hoped to
pass on what they have worked for, built and
saved. Inheritance tax ceilings are ludicrously
low for this day and age, even after the recently
proposed increases. (Excluding business assets,
naturally.) And now a significant hike in probate

It
is the cumulative effect of little bite here,
big bite there, that knocks the stuffing out
of a truly entrepreneurial climate. The fact
that a politician has once again, lied, is 'normal'.
It's what politicians do. But for a political
party which claims to be the voice of the UK's
business community, one thing is pretty certain.
Whereas 80 % of Wankminster's assembled (when
they can be arsed to turn up) are Friends of
Israel, how many do you think are members of
the Federation of Small Businesses? Or The Forum

Like the rest of the regime's election promises,
that's just a BIG LIE.

Google
accused of spreading fake news. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/mar/06/google-accused-spreading-fake-news
Google is 'the source' of fake news these
days and that is probably why the Americans
invented it and social media in the first place.
Even in France, where state propaganda has been
so blatant for the past few years that even
the most stupid members of the public are turning
to increasingly popular alternative news sources,
NATO and Google and their fake news media cohorts
have rolled out a new, official terrorist propaganda
tool called Decodex. And now, who is circulating
hatred and fake news in the French election
campaign - just as they did against Donald The
Trump? Why, Google and its mates, of course.
Social
media sites increasing loneliness, say psychologists.
http://www.aol.co.uk/news/2017/03/06/social-media-sites-increasing-loneliness-say-psychologists/
That's because they were invented by Americans
for Americans who are already socially inadequate.
Now, like Google, they are effective state tools
for manipulating the swinish multitude.
When
I look at my 'gang' of self-employed tradesmen,
all in high demand and who generally work weekends
just to stay on top of things, no-one but no-one
has a website. No-one 'does' social media. And
only two of them use an email address on their
correspondence or marketing material. The phone
and person-to-person visits remain the mainstays
of their work practices to this day. And they
are absolutely typical of successful, small
business operations. Not uniquely so, but there
are far, far more of them than most 'experts'
would have you believe.
On
the other hand, I watched The Great British
Benefits Handout a couple of nights ago, in
which one of the aspiring businesswomen, a hairdresser,
used an Arsebook invitation to try and demonstrate
her skills and get her fledgling business rolling.
I believe forty Arsebookers promised they would
attend. On the day however, just four friends
turned up and none of those generated any business.
Which
just about sums up all the bullshit surrounding
social media as a must-have for small businesses.

Complaints
by household energy customers fall by a third
to three-year low. http://money.aol.co.uk/2017/03/01/complaints-by-household-energy-customers-fall-by-a-third-to-thre/
That's because there has been a significant
increase in energy customers who can't pay their
bills, dying from hypothermia instead.
Average

living standards, report says. http://money.aol.co.uk/2017/03/01/average-household-facing-a-5-000-yearly-drop-in-living-standards/
Although, not according to Brexit Knobhead
propaganda which has been claiming you've never
had it so good and it's going to get even better!
Why
you'll own nothing by 2030. http://www.independent.co.uk/money/why-youll-own-nothing-by-2030-a7582111.html
Unless you're American Big Corp of course.

Caught
driving on your phone? You'll now pay a £200
fine and 30pc more for car insurance. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/insurance/car/caught-driving-phone-now-pay-200-fine-30pc-car-insurance/
Since the number of road deaths caused by
driving while using a phone has surpassed by
dozens of multiples the numbers of casualties
from so-called terrorist attacks (other than
by the Coalition of Evil), it's a wonder laws
haven't been passed sooner with much hysterical
propaganda from the country's media, intelligence
agencies and military to boot. Nothing to do
with sustaining Big Corp profits, though. And
stuff the swinish multitude.
Police
'writing off crimes' because they are so overstretched,
damning report reveals. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/police-force-hmic-watchdog-overstretched-public-risk-national-crisis-government-cuts-a7606836.html
But not too 'overstretched' to keep hamming
it up with endless, drop-dead boring, repeat
tv series.
Trump
promises 'aggressive' action on trade to protect
US. http://www.bbc.com/news/business-39141030
Thus making the US a much less likely haven
for profitable trade than predicted by Brexit
Knobheads. Then again, what have Brexit Knobheads
got right so far?
Revealed:
What Americans really dislike about the UK.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/destinations/europe/united-kingdom/articles/revealed-what-americans-dislike-about-britain/
It might have been far more illuminating
to ask what the nationalities targeted by Little
Ingerlandt's hate-preaching propaganda and fake
news, thought of the UK. In other words, everyone
bar American and Israeli terrorists.
Paris

Not that Parisians ever took any notice
of traffic lights, anyway.

The French Grande Vacance in the news
again! Although they forgot to mention the antibiotics,
as well. We keep saying it. You'll be hard-pressed
to beat Skeggy - where the water's so cold no-one
ventures into the merde anyway.

UK economy 'losing out on £1bn per year
due to lack of female entrepreneurs'. http://www.aol.co.uk/news/2017/02/28/uk-economy-losing-out-on-a-1bn-per-year-due-to-lack-of-female-e/
How do they know that? As the best place
in the world to start and run a business (according
to Brexit Knobheads) it's almost inconceivable
that Little Ingerlandt should do so badly by
female entrepreneurs. Fake news/propaganda getting
its wires crossed again?
House
prices continue to grow with UK economy 'performing
relatively strongly'. http://money.aol.co.uk/2017/03/01/house-prices-continue-to-grow-with-uk-economy-performing-relati/
Well; 'performing relatively strongly' by
comparison with the sales of a hot chestnut
stall at the height of summer. And the only
reason house prices continue to grow is because
buyers choose to believe such 'fake news' and
stump up more than they need to.

£1 coin: British public stands to lose

jars and drawers. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/news/new-1-coin-12-sided-circulation-british-public-billion-loose-change-piggybanks-jars-drawers-a7601416.html
Once again, how do you put a figure on money
which has been stashed away in jars? It could
equally have been stuffed up corrupt politicians'
arses. An altogether more credible scenario.
Overdraft
charges are elephant in the room, say MPs.
http://www.bbc.com/news/business-39126161
And not payday loans? Now isn't that a surprise!!!
UK's
ultra-rich set to rise rapidly in 10 years,
report says. http://www.bbc.com/news/business-39117838
These will be the UK's foreign, offshore
rich, will it? And not refugee children which
can't get into the country which bombed them
and murdered their families because a handful
of Nazi politicians want to do some posing for
their hate-preaching media.
Woman

Marvellous, innit? Whereas if she had joined
the United Nations, murdered a few million children
and stolen the GDP of half a dozen countries,
she would have received a Nobel Peace Prize
and an invitation to the Palace of Westminster.

it's called putting money into a pension.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/donald-trump-buy-american-congress-address-ivanka-daughter-wear-french-roland-mouret-a7605381.html
Perhaps she's a 'fake' Trump or a Brexit
Knobhead (Fake Brit) in disguise.
But
does this also mean that Americans will buy
only their own oil in future and there will
be no need for them to threaten world security
as mass-terrorists and thieving, murdering,
illegal immigrants? Otherwise that's
going to be a very, very, very, very long list
of immigrants who have committed crimes which
Donald The Trump will have to draw up.

Well, it certainly wouldn't be a Little Ingerlandt
fake entrepreneur with an official start-up
loan and an ex-banker for a mentor.

urge business leaders. http://www.aol.co.uk/news/2017/02/27/delay-brexit-if-no-trade-deal-can-be-struck-urge-business-leade/
There remains a widespread misconception
that the Brexit impact will be controlled by
a tiny group of spineless, lying, clueless Little
Ingerlandt war criminals and their 'alternative
facts' propaganda machine, the hate-preaching,
fake news media. All of which is real news to
those who will be assembled on the other side
of the negotiating table.

I bet that made the 'watchdog' blub its eyes
out, having to 'force' BT to do something in
their users' interest. Mind you, BT prices are
going up anyway, so who cares?
Mobile
